OMO/ Persil are the flagship products of CPG multinational Unilever. Our 2025 State of laundry survey showed that almost half (45%) of Australasian members use at least one product in the range.
Almost all products perform well at 40ºC, although enzyme-free products like Sensitive benefit from 60ºC washes for enhanced stain removal. The Ultimate range performs slightly better on stubborn stains.
OMO/ Persil product varieties
Unilever lists detergent ingredients on its website; we cross-compared the product line and found that most of the range shares a consistent chemical foundation. In these cases, the individual products may still differ, with the exact formula containing different proprietary ratios, fragrances or colourants.
The primary differences come down to the inclusion of optical brighteners, specific scent profiles, and extra stain-removal boosters (such as sodium carbonate peroxide and TAED found in Ultimate powder).

Unfortunately, Unilever does not list ingredients for the professional range alongside their other products, or on the separate Unilever Professional website. We reached out to Unilever via email to confirm which varieties contain enzymes.
