We recommend washing cloth nappies in 40-60°C water. Some detergents require 60°C to wash effectively.
AU/ NZ detergent quantities are based on a 7.5kg capacity washing machine. Increase your main wash dose by 25% for each additional kg.
You may also need to adjust your detergent dose based on your water hardness and soiling levels.
Unsure of your water hardness? If you are connected to a public water supply search for your water hardness online. If you have bore water use a test kit from a pool shop. Rainwater is typically very soft. More information.
