2023 wrapped: Clean Cloth Nappies edition

What a year it has been! The Clean Cloth Nappies Facebook admin team has had such a wonderful time nurturing your laundry skills, witnessing your stain transformations and celebrating your cloth nappy wins. We are so proud of this amazing community we have co-created with you – all while keeping items out of the landfill!

Our activity in numbers

The admin team approved and answered 5,005 posts and moderated 99,094 comments. We added 15,635 new members this year – that’s an average of 40 people every day!

Our group has grown to over 100,000 members, which is around the population of Ballarat or Bendigo!

What we accomplished in 2023

We had our nose to the grindstone in 2023 and accomplished a lot. So many in fact that we have created a CCN Wrapped album. Check it out to see what we’ve managed to achieve even while raising little ones and having entire lives outside of Facebook!

A little farewell

After 3+ years we decided to retire our weekly Ask Admin Anything (AAA). It was a lifeline to many of us during Covid-19 lockdowns. It gave us something to look forward to and a chance to socialise outside our bubbles. As the world continues to adjust to life post-Covid, our community is also evolving and adapting.

The spirit of AAA lives on, as many regular AAA contributors are now in our Unicorns group and some have even joined our admin team.

The admin team

This year we also onboarded new admin and bade farewell to some long-standing admin to new life adventures.

Several team members welcomed babies and others said goodbye (mostly) to nappies with their youngest child day training.

Much of this year’s work builds on the groundwork from 2022 and earlier. We are where we are today all because of the hard work and dedication of our entire team, past and present, over the last 8 years. If you are or were ever part of the team, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤

What’s next

We’ve sent patrons a sneak peek of our ultimate cloth nappy cost calculator. It is one of the best tools to date and will be announced to the wider community very soon. Thank you to @Alison for developing the idea and getting it across the line!

Post slowdown

Most of the admin team will be offline from Thursday 21st December to Thursday 4th January 2024. During this time we will use the ‘decline with feedback’ option so that you are directed to the answer you need, but minimising the time required by admin to be online to moderate.
